Fiscus was my first attempt at tackling the whole production pipeline on my own, and an extremely fun filmmaking experience. I hiked into the Hong Kong forest to find the perfect Banyan tree home for my tiny friend. After a couple rounds of concept sketches, I sculpted and textured the model using ZBrush, tracked my backplates in Nuke, rigged my character in Maya, rendered with key-framed cams using V-Ray, and finally pulled the whole thing together in After Effects.

I hope to follow this process again in the future to further enhance my understanding of live action compositing and reach an even better end result. Loved bringing this little guy to life!

Here's a glimpse at some of my preliminary concept art//storyboards.
